The Royal Automobile Club is an exclusive world-class private members club, with 2 stunning clubhouses in London and Epsom. Providing a first-class service offering accommodation, dining, sports and leisure facilities for the enjoyment of our members and guests. The Walled Garden opened in Spring 2021, with an indoor children’s pool, outside play areas, extensive junior activities programme and a café this is an exciting new addition to the estate. 

Based in our Epsom clubhouse

40 hour week, 5 days over a 7 day week, working weekends

Purpose of the role:

As Recreation Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Walled Garden pool & recreational areas to ensure the very highest standards of service to Woodcote Juniors, Members and Guests. Lead and inspire the Recreational Assistants in delivering high quality, consistent standards throughout all areas of the facility. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recreational team to ensure high quality consistent standards are maintained in service, feel and experience, in line with Leading Quality Assurance benchmarking targets.
  • Ensure that poolside safety is of the highest priority and staff supervision is kept constant throughout operation.
  • To work closely with Walled Garden management to ensure that the site programme and sessions are appropriately manned and evolve with the development of the facility.
  • Ensure adequate staff cover is maintained at all times for the operation of the team within the walled garden.

About you:

  • Previous experience supervising/leading a team, (leisure environment preferred but not essential)
  • A UK lifeguarding qualification current or previous – training provided if previous
  • Experience with facilities management in relation to health and safety
  • Experience and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • A team player 
  • Approachable and confident
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer knowledge
