General Manager – Luxury Beach Club in Greece – Summer 2025  

The Peligoni Club is a family-run beach club in Greece. It’s a members-only retreat for a fun-loving bohemian crowd who want delicious food, creative cocktails, friendly staff and sumptuous settings, but without all the fuss that usually comes with high-end hotels.

With so many moving parts, this is a huge operation and we are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager, with strong leadership skills, who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our club.

The General Manager will have full accountability for the P&L performance and overall financial health of the business, ensuring we operate efficiently and profitably without compromising on quality and service.

This is a full time role based in Greece during the summer months and in one of our offices in the UK (London or Cotswolds) during the winter months.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Continuously review and implement department policies and procedures, providing the necessary training to the relevant people
  • Oversee all departments, including but not limited to, front of house, housekeeping, watersports, spa, childcare, facilities maintenance, food and beverage outlets and special events
  • Collaborate with department heads to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices
  • Ensure a seamless and efficient guest experience from arrival to departure
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness across all facilities
  • Maintain good relationships with local suppliers and contacts

Staff Management

  • Be involved in the recruitment process for senior positions
  • Ensure all staff are trained and aligned with the club’s guest focused culture, service standards and policies
  • Encourage a culture of excellence, teamwork and accountability within the management team and staff
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to managers
  • Oversee daily staffing needs and scheduling, working within labour cost targets
  • Handle employment relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances and staff welfare

Guest Experience

  • Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Implement and uphold high standards for service, cleanliness and safety
  • Address guest concerns promptly and effectively
  • Review and proactively respond to weekly guest feedback and action any necessary changes to any prevent further issues

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the club’s vision and financial objectives
  • Assume full accountability for the club’s P&L, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded
  • Create and manage budgets and monitor financial performance through regular reporting
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards, i.e. pool testing, HACCP and food hygiene
  • Implement and oversee safety protocols, i.e. fire evacuation plan, missing child, beach EAPs, etc.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a general management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a beach club, luxury resort, hotel or private members club
  • Proven experience managing P&L
  • Good knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, operations etc)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a team
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ‘guest-first’ approach
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with health and safety and hygiene standards
  • Good understanding of accounts and EPOS systems
  • A valid First Aid Certificate is desirable
  • Full driving license

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary starting from £65,000 per year
  • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
