What you need to know about the role...
You will apply your breadth and depth of experience - in migrations, system integration, enterprise applications and data technologies - to our strategic transformation programme. The solutions you define will be pivotal in shaping The Gym Group's future technology platform, positively impacting multiple aspects of our business.
Working with the Programme Lead, Analysts, Technical Architects and Engineering teams (in house and external), and liaising closely with key business stakeholders, you will produce a target solution architecture defining the future of some of our most mission-critical systems, and their integrations across our technology estate. You will be deeply involved in all aspects of the programme's success: ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to their successors; optimising the benefits of a new architecture across multiple business functions; verifying and assuring the implementation approach.
You will ensure that the solution aligns with our Enterprise Architecture strategy, and that it is technically optimal and feasible in the context of a complex data migration, which involves re-integration of many applications and services to the new core systems. Your role will encompass maximising the business value of high-level architectural choices, as well as creating a well-defined and low-risk technical runway for implementation.
Experience
The ideal candidate for this role has architected significant transformations or upgrades of enterprise systems - such as ERP, CRM, Finance, Member Management or Payment platforms. They have in-depth technical understanding of modern database management systems (both RDBMS and NoSQL). They have a profound grasp of technical architecture patterns, including ETL/ELT and event-driven approaches and have a proven experience designing large scale solutions for the cloud, and in SaaS and PaaS contexts.

So, we've told you all about us and our amazing new opportunity; now it's your turn to hit 'Apply' and tell us about YOU. We get that not everyone wants a 9 - 5 and here at The Gym Group we are pretty flexible. Talk to us about your requirements during the process and explore the many options including flex hours, a condensed working week or even part-time contracts.
If you have a disability or condition that makes it difficult for you to complete your application online please email your cv to recruitment@thegymgroup.com or alternatively call the TGG Recruitment team on 0203 319 4838 and someone will be more than happy to support you. We also want to put it out there that we actively encourage applications from a diverse demographic and we are passionate about your culture and value alignment. We want this to be a match that challenges your limits and works for you as much as for us. When we say We're With You we really do mean it!
