Level 2 Swimming Teacher

• Reporting to: Pool Coordinator/Aquatics Manager
• Job Purpose: To be responsible for planning and delivering learn to swim sessions to children and adults.
• Salary: All posts are for 52 weeks per year unless otherwise stated. Salary circa £25,658

Essential Qualification

• SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming

Desirable Skills

• A minimum of Level 2 swimming teacher qualification.
• A sound knowledge of all areas of the swimming programme.
• The ability to relate and communicate with people of all ages and deal with associative issues and situations.
• An understanding of child development.
• The ability to be well planned.
• The ability to be flexible.
• The ability to monitor, evaluate and be prepared to change plans where necessary.
• The ability to keep an accurate record.
• The ability to work on your own initiative and to work as part of a wider team.

Life Leisure Schools:

We are looking to expand our schools teaching team. Many of the available hours will be working alongside existing schools staff and therefore we welcome new staff to schools as support and mentoring will be on hand. All schools hours are 35 weeks so therefore will have no holiday entitlement. Schools hours are for the academic year and may be subject to change each year.

We will also have a few schools that will require an additional teacher in the water, usually for a term. If anyone is interested in daytime hours please contact us with your availability.

• Level 2 Team teach, possibly in water support // Friday // 9.10-10.10 // Jan 2025, Jan to Feb half term only

• Level 2 Team teach // Tuesday // 9.45-10.45 // September 2024
• Level 2 // Team teach // Tuesday // 1.10-2.10 // January 2025

Life Leisure Cheadle:

• Level 2 Team Teach // Monday // 11.00 - 12.00pm // January 2025
• Level 2 Team teach // Monday // 1.45 - 2.45pm // January 2025
• Level 2 In water support // Friday // 9.45 -11.15, Jan to Feb half term, reducing to 10.25-11.25 Feb half term to Easter // January 2025

Level 1 Swimming Teacher

• Job Purpose: To actively support a qualified swimming teacher in the delivery of planned learn to swim sessions.
• Salary: All posts are for 52 weeks per year unless otherwise stated. Salary circa £20,226
