SOUS CHEF FOR BRUNCH/ SMALL PLATES OFFERING

District is all about: good vibes, coffee, natty wine and elevated cocktails. We serve simple, delicious food, with all day brunch, and sharing plates in the evening.

You’ll be joining a growing family, with sites in: Parsons Green, Mayfair & Nine Elms. Each with their own personality and incredible teams!

The Role:

We’re looking for a talented, full-time Sous Chef that brings good vibes and is wanting to be part of something exciting and put their name to it.

You will be an experienced chef who is used to a busy service in a buzzy environment. You will have food safety, menu development & costing experience. You will have knowledge and want to further your curiosity in natural, low intervention wine and appreciate excellent customer service.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be creating an all-day brunch menu with daily lunch specials and a Mediterranean inspired menu of sharing plates to accompany a focused wine and cocktail menu in the evening. You will have autonomy to adapt the menu and make seasonal changes, put in place processes for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, hire a dynamic, knowledgeable, flexible and ambitious team and opportunity to grow the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen
  • Create and develop innovative and delicious menu items
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meets high standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Creativity and passion for food
