Recently awarded Aberdeen City & Shire Hospitality Employer of the Year, as well as 2 Michelin Keys, and rated number 1 by Conde Naste Readers' Choice, The Fife Arms Hotel, located in the village of Braemar in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is recruiting an experienced Reservationist to join the team!
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a similar level experience and a passion for excellent hospitality and a desire to develop your skills. You'll be delivering the utmost quality of service exceeding the expectation of our guest experience in every aspect of their stay so that they leave us feeling enriched and engaged in our ethos as well as well as meeting our sales targets.
As a Reservationist you will be responsible for:
- Taking reservations enquiries and making bookings for hotel rooms and restaurants.
- Maximising rooms revenue through the conversion of telephone calls into sales.
- Working cohesively with the Ghillie (concierge) team to maximise internal sales and enhance guest experience at every touchpoint within the hotel.
- Actively contribute to achieve the Room Revenue and Overall Revenue targets of the hotel and contribute with creative ideas.
- Achieving targeted goals in the LQA Hotel Mystery Shopping calls.
- Ensuring reservations meet the property standards in terms of accuracy of data and guest satisfaction.
- Ensuring that all enquiries are answered as soon as possible, ideally within the same day of being received by phone or email and no later than 24 hours.
- Ensuring that pre-arrival checks are carried out as per the operating procedures.
- Having complete knowledge of facilities, room rates, promotions, and hours of operation so that you can positively approach bedroom, guest activities/experiences, and F&B outlet sales opportunities.
- Working closely with Reception to ensure the flow of communications between Reservations and Front Office is seamless.

Our successful Reservationist will have:
- Proven experience from within a similar luxury hospitality environment.
- Previous experience with Opera Cloud.
- The enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Initiative, emotional intelligence and strong communication and organisation skills.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- A passion and ambition to deliver exceptional experiences
