This high-profile facility offers premium fitness, wellbeing and padel tennis services, all set within the pristine countryside of the Duke of Wellington’s Estate on the Hampshire/Berkshire border.
This unique position will allow the right candidate to manage top-tier facilities, committed to delivering exceptional member service to a discerning clientele. As the latest addition to our diverse commercial portfolio, The Barns at Wellington enhances our traditional country Estate operations.
THE ROLE
As the General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for running the entire business. You will manage a carefully selected and highly trained team, ensuring that the team is always motivated and driven. Providing exceptional service is a key focus of this role and as the General Manager, you will be leading this from the front, exceeding the expectations of members and guests at all times.
As the most recent business on the Estate, a key part of the role will be to continue to grow both the membership and non-membership base, while maintaining the levels of service provided to the current members and guests.
All operational matters will fall within the remit of this role, including compliance, both legal and industry specific.

You will be passionate about the industry and competent in advising Estate management on industry developments to ensure the business remains at the forefront of the industry.
You will have the presence and leadership qualities to inspire and coach a team whilst delivering both commercial performance and operational excellence. You will be highly organised, results driven and possess the ability to drive individuals to maximise their potential.
As the General Manager, you will have considerable autonomy to run your business whilst having the benefit of the support of the wider Estate. You will also have the confidence to develop the business, potentially including the expansion of the facilities, as the business grows.
