Aim of the Pool Bar Assistant role

To serve food and drink to all guests from the hotel, spa days, and our members, ensuring the smooth running of the Pool Bar on every shift.

From the unique 72 bedrooms including 14 one of a kind Treehouses, state of the art James Martin cookery school to the award-winning, newly refurbished spa with 12 treatments rooms and 3 swimming pools, it has an abundance of ways to revive your senses. The blissful 130 acres of woodland are home to an indoor and outdoor tennis centre, a 9-hole golf course, heritage orchard, 70 working beehives, a walled kitchen garden, croquet lawn and more.

Responsibilities of the Pool Bar Assistant:

• Greeting hotel guests, members and spa day guests with confidence, and provide 5 star service to establish a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude at all times
• To be confident in assisting in the preparation of the pool bar for breakfast, lunch, and evening dining.
• To confidently take orders and possess menu knowledge to provide any nutritional or allergen information requested
• Take ownership to ensure bills are cashed with care taken over correct charging to rooms, payment methods and any discounts given
• Clear tables in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the pool bar is well kept and ready for guests
• To assist in ensuring that the pool bar is always kept clean and tidy and restocked as and when needed
• Ensure food stays in date in the fridge and is used in the correct date order
• Attend all briefings ensuring that you are fully aware of any special requirements or occasions, VIPs and menu changes

Pool Bar Assistant - About you 

• Experience waiting in a restaurant or café environment preferable
• Experience in high standards of face to face customer service
• Knowledge of cash handling and stock control is desirable
• You will have a keen eye for detail, organisational skills and will be well presented
