Due to the continued growth and success of Johnson Health Tech we are expanding our sales function and we are looking for a new Head of Commercial Trade Sales – UK, reporting into the Sales Director.

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Commercial Trade Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and fitness, a proven trade sales background and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a trade sales network across the UK.

Your main responsibility is to develop existing and new trade customers within the assigned sales channels   that you are tasked with selling JHT family commercial product in to, in order to hit or exceed revenue targets, specifically the Matrix and Vision Fitness commercial brands. Within agreed margin guidelines and KPi’s, you will further develop these sales channels and the customer portfolio, building on the commercial trade customer base that is already in place.

You will be required to represent the JHT brands and the UK/Global business in a professional manner at all times.

This role requires travel, mainly within the UK and occasionally abroad.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets and product mix as agreed with the Sales Director within agreed margin guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade prospects, trade customers and strategic partners.
  • Meet or exceed all daily, weekly, monthly sales activity KPI’s
  • Update the Sales Director on trade market conditions within the UK, including the competition and in conjunction with the Sales Director, develop and execute a trade sales strategy to maximise results and efficiencies.
  • Working both individually and with the Sales Support team, ensure that daily, weekly, monthly activities and pipeline forecasting are accurate and up to date within the CRM system.
  • Compile accurate sales and forecast reports as required.
  • With the support of the Marketing team, deliver product education & training, and marketing collateral both on use of products as well as the benefits of the products to the trade sellers on a regular basis on all products in the JHT range as required, in order to maximise their knowledge to drive sales penetration
  • Attend internal sales meetings and represent the business at trade shows and new products launches as required.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Should sales revenue growth targets be met, there will be future opportunity to grown a team under the Head of Trade Sales UK position

Experience and skills:

  • Proven trade sales  and presentation skills.
  • Well networked in trade sales and good knowledge of the industry.
  • Self motivated, KPI driven and determined to succeed.
  • Efficient in time management with strong organisational and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and solution focused.
  • Good communication, both written and oral, as well as strong administrative skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, in particular PowerPoint, Word and Excel. 

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Math’s and English).
  • A degree in sports science or similar is preferred, though not essential.
