The Role:

Overseeing the daily operations of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. To assist in managing the cleanliness of bedrooms and public areas, ensuring guest satisfaction through high-quality standards and operational efficiency.

This role requires someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards. Leadership and team communication are critical in maintaining smooth day-to-day housekeeping operations.

Role Specification:

  • Supervise room attendants, linen porters, and public area cleaners.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness in both guest rooms and public areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections, reporting maintenance issues via Snapfix.
  • Assist in training and induction of new team members.
  • Liaise with Reception about guest requests, room changes, or VIP needs.
  • Perform audits, record equipment conditions, and ensure functionality of room appliances.
  • Complete stock takes and hand paperwork to management.
  • Report maintenance issues, accidents, and hazards promptly.

Person Specification:

Essentials

  • Proven housekeeping experience in a similar setting.
  • Previous managerial experience in a similar role.
  • Friendly, conscientious, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritise tasks effectively.

Desirables

  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.

Shift Patterns:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7 per week
  • Note: Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business
