Purpose of the role


Our Room Mates, are a family of real people with real personalities. We are people who approach strangers as friends, who share in the highs and lows of our guests' days, and who take delight in welcoming back guests time and time again.


As a Room Mate, it's your role to ensure every guest who enters our hometel leaves has a positive and memorable experience. As our Room Mate you will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality across our food and beverage and customer-facing outlets and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guests' expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of our established brand standards.


Key Responsibilities


People

  • Be able and ready to assist guests with any enquiries they may have, including welcoming guests as soon as they arrive with due care and attention.

  • Assist the guests with checking into their rooms and ensure they are happy.

  • Deliver the best customer service experience for locals and guests

  • Help prepare and service a great range of drinks and a fantastic, freshly produced menu

  • Make your service smooth, confident and tailored to every individual who walks in the door.

  • Have a can-do attitude, understanding all brand standards and reading your guest's needs.

  • Be open to change and see it as a positive. You thrive in positive feedback from guests and strive to make every experience in the front of house areas amazing.

  • Love self-development, coaching and supporting new staff. You can have fun on shift but know what needs to be done to deliver the brand promise.

  • Be proud of your Food & Beverage area and know that your contribution is a large one when it comes to the overall operation of the department.

  • Your Health and Safety and food safety knowledge is evident on shift at all times.

  • Be well-presented for every shift.

  • Deliver a memorable service to guests at all times; from booking a stay through to coffee and farewells.

  • Help promote our locally sourced menu items

  • Have a keen eye on what is happening in our community

  • Always keep an eye out for new business opportunities


Planet

  • Help with the continued effort to deliver zero waste

  • Follow all company policies on recycling
