Front Office Duty Manager - Central London

Department: Front Office

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for the Front Office Duty Manager to join our talented Front Office team. We are currently seeking to recruit a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of the Front Office Duty Manager, your key focus will be to:

  • deal with any complaints or emergency situations as they occur during your shift
  • respond to all guest queries in a polite, friendly and efficient manner
  • support the Front Office team in their day to day operations if needed e.g. arrival, departure procedure etc.
  • maintain a clear presence in the lobby at all times
  • maintain close communication with all other Hotel departments and provide any support needed to ensure the smooth running of the operation on a day-to-day basis

Do you have?

  • previous experience of working in a supervisory role within front office (essential)
  • previous experience of working in a similar style property (desirable)
  • excellent customer services skills
  • great communication skills and command of English language. Fluency in one or more other languages (Mandarin, Arabic, French, Russian, Japanese or Spanish) is an advantage.
  • immaculate personal presentation
  • previous experience of Opera/Fidelio front office management systems is an advantage
  • previous experience of supervising or leading teams
  • ability to make sound decisions
  • ability to deal with challenging situations
