Salary: Competitive per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Flexible working, 3 days a week in our VHQ, Crawley
Contract: Permanent

In a nutshell
In this role, you will develop and lead the production of insight and reporting. You will communicate the reasons behind the operating and commercial performance and results of our Company to the Board, Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Group, and Creditors. The role holder will collaborate monthly with the CFO and CEO to create outstanding Board and Shareholder materials. They will adapt content to reflect current business priorities and provide valuable insights.
Day to day
- Influencing the Company annual budget process for Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays, delivering clear, consolidated budgetary reporting and insight to the Senior Manager - Corporate Planning
- Challenging the Company rolling reforecast process for Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays, delivering clear, consolidated reforecast budgetary reporting and insight to the Senior Manager - Corporate Planning
- Owns the process for reporting ongoing business risks and opportunities, providing a consolidated, fortnightly deliverable for both Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays
- Manages the process of generating insight and reporting, effectively communicating the operating and commercial performance and results of Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays to the Board, Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Group, and Creditors.
- Responsible for reporting business unit P&Ls. Implements reporting measures and communicates regularly with the Finance Manager - Budgeting and Forecasting for insight.
- Provides insight to Senior Management and the Leadership Team with respect to financial modelling, forecasts and profitability
- Reviews existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
About you
- Significant experience providing regular finance support and reporting into an operational area, (or commercial etc.)
- Ability/Desire to Influence, and gain experience in leadership and to build effective supply of high value output
- Evidence of personally driving business improvement through financial analysis /process improvement
- Previous experience in developing financial cases for complex business strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, will be able to distil complex information into clear and simple messages
- Shows ambition and desire to progress in Management at Virgin Atlantic and recognizes that managing a team is a key next step
