An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced full-time Sommelier/Wine Waiter to join Head Sommelier Paolo Pellegrino and our team at Franco's on Jermyn Street, Green Park.

Who are we?

Franco's first opened in 1946 and is considered by many to be one of the first Italian restaurants in London. The restaurant's sister restaurant is Wiltons also on Jermyn Street, both of which are owned by the Hambros family. The restaurant compromises of a bar area, main dining room and a basement area which can be used as two Private Dining rooms or additional seating for the restaurant. Franco's is open all day for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner Monday to Saturday.

What can you bring to the team?

• Previous experience as a Sommelier in a similar establishment, catering for 80 to 100 covers during each service
• Good management, training and delegation skills as you will be responsible for your section
• Extensive knowledge of wines, aperitifs, digestifs, wine & food pairings
• Understanding of the winemaking process
• Basic financial skills stock control and GPs would be beneficial
• Motivation, commitment, success orientated with a 'can do' attitude
• Knowledge & diversity from previous roles to the team
• Enthusiasm, drive & desire to learn
• WSET certification or equivalent would be beneficial
