The Hospitality Team at Billing Aquadrome are looking for a Kitchen Porter to work alongside the kitchen team to maintain our commitment to health & safety and food hygiene.

Job Title:                           Kitchen Porter

Location:                           Billing Aquadrome, Crow Lane, Little Billing, Northampton NN3 9DA

Employment Type:      Seasonal – Full Time / Part Time hours available 

Salary:                         £11.50 per hour

Shift Patterns:             Mon – Fri / Weekends / Bank Holidays / Days

Billing Aquadrome is located in the Nene Valley, in the heart of Northamptonshire. Set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes , with fantastic facilities, stunning country walks and fully stocked fishing lakes there really is something for everyone.

About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Porter and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, as well as supporting the kitchen team with various tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all kitchen areas are kept clean and sanitized, including floors, countertops, and food preparation surfaces, including washing dishes and equipment.
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Disposing of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Receiving and storing deliveries of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Always adhering to health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Supporting kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, including food plating, and serving.
  • Working efficiently and cooperatively as part of a team to meet the needs of the kitchen and ensure a positive experience for our guests.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
