Full time Deputy General Manager/Operations Manager


This is a full-time role at Sprowston Manor Hotel, Golf and country club, Norwich.

Formerly a Marriott hotel, Sprowston Manor Hotel is a 126-room hotel in an idyllic countryside location offering our guests luxury accommodation with a golf course, fitness centre, swimming pool, and conference and events facilities.

Your duties will include the following:

  • To be the main contact for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring that our guests experience is flawless and that the team are supported in their role to achieve that.
  • You will oversee the day-to-day operations within the hotel working alongside all departments.
  • Provide insights into the business for the manager in their absence.
  • You will understand the focus areas for the day, be up to date with events taking place and aware of any priorities and challenges within the business.

Who we are looking for:


  • Ideally you will have worked in a hospitality environment that operated within clear frameworks.
  • Be a strong communicator and excellent at providing quality customer service.
  • Lead with efficiency and punctuality
  • Be organised and effective at prioritising and multi-tasking.
  • Able to deliver our hotels standards alongside effectively training the team in our (SOPs) for various departments.
  • Confident in delivering both positive and constructive feedback to the team.
  • Able to construct accurate administration as and when required.
  • Previous experience of a large hotel is desired.
  • The Number 1 essential attribute is a “can do” attitude.
