Assistant Director of GC&E Sales

The hotel has just finished in 2022 a transformational refurbishment, updating all of its Food & Beverage outlets, Bedrooms, Public Areas and Meeting Space.

Following the completion of the refurbishment, the hotel now boasts 1,100 bedrooms, four unique restaurants and bars, 35+ meeting rooms, including three ballrooms, with capacity for over 1,350 guests as well as an exclusive event space with unparalleled breath-taking skyline views across London.

As an Assistant Director of GC&E Sales 

You will be reporting to the Director of Groups, Conference & Events.

What are we looking for?

  • Your current position is GC&E Sales Manager or similar level
  • You have +3 years GC&E sales experience in a branded hotel environment  
  • Evidence that you can effectively manage and motivate subordinates to perform beyond expectations
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Delphi knowledge is recommended
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Strong commercial skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges

 

The responsibilities we`ll trust with you,

As the Team Leader of 7:

  • Represent, motivate, train and develop the team  
  • Lead the daily huddle
  • Contribute to the exceptional culture in the wider commercial team
  • Build excellent relationship with other department across the hotel
  • Manage the team`s HR aspects (hours, holidays, etc)
  • Recruit & interview new starters, manage on boarding process
  • Create and manage career development plans
  • Track team performance by KPi`s
  • Lead 1:1s, performance reviews

As the GC&E Sales Leader:

  • Track and manage GC&E sales pace & strategy, share suggestions to commercial leaders
  • Monitor the inquiry inbox, process of qualification and distribution
  • Be the champion of contract clauses, review all GC&E contracts before submitting
  • Review costing sheets before submitting
  • Update Demand calendar, BOB week by week and other sales & qualification tools
  • Create weekly/monthly reports in cooperation with the team e.g. forecast, pace, owners reports
  • Attend on site / virtual site visits when required
  • Manage HWS/SSSO relationships
  • Manage Key account bookings
  • Manage relationship with Meeting Simplified team
  • Manage complains and complex situations with Clients & Agents
  • Manage handover process from sales to planning
  • Attend daily weekly meetings/Teams calls (DD, Optional meetings, CFM, BFM
