  • A Reception Manager oversees Reception operations to ensure that Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out

    What will I be doing?

    • Participates in the induction and training of new staff members, promoting the importance the hotels committed to excellence strategy and ensure compliance to FORBES standards.
    • Manage the Reception operations including check in/out procedures in a way that ensures we exceed every guest’s expectations.
    • Enhance levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement. Ensure all feedback at reception is resolved whilst ensuring all guests leave the reception desk satisfied.             
    • Manage, train and develop the Reception team
    • Proactively drive sales revenues and promote hotel services through the front desk team.
    • Ensure the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team is at exceptional levels at all times with an emphasis on continuous training and teamwork
    • Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties
    • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to exceed standards.
    • Ensure all equipment at the front desk is maintained and in proper order for the team to deliver excellent customer service.
    • Conduct regular training with the team
    • Assist other departments, as necessary, and maintain good working relationships with hotel Team Members
    • The role requires you to cover Duty Manager and Night Manager on rare occasions.
    • Expected to work 5 days a week at varied times to capture the peak hours and be available for VIP arrivals.
    • Show passion about the image of Conrad London St James and work with the marketing team to portray the guest experience out on social media
    • Monitor staffing levels to meet cover business demands
