Location: The Village Pub, Barnsley, Cirencester GL7 5EF

Salary: £34,000 PA Plus Service Charge

Hours: 45 Hours Per Week.

We are now recruiting for The Village Pub and seeking for a Sous Chef to support our Head Chef with overseeing what will be a small, close-knit brigade.

As Sous Chef you will need to be a real leader. Having strong people skills to support our Head Chef with the management of a kitchen team with various levels of skills and capabilities. You will be confident with the overall running of the kitchen, from maintaining excellent supplier relationships, managing food costs, planning rotas to understanding health and safety regulations.

The kitchen team at The Village Pub with be small, but dynamic. You will play a vital role in encouraging team members to develop their skills and enrol in training programmes. We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, as Sous Chef you will take an active role in leading, teaching, and inspiring the apprentices.

The Village Pub kitchen will be fast paced and energetic, which is what we look for in an individual. Come with enthusiasm, your knives and a bucketful of passion and we can help you develop the rest. Experience as a Sous, within a similar establishment is required.
