Job Type: 40 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 - £29,000 per annum + share of service charge/tips

Pendley Manor, a unique Hertfordshire hotel, is a Grade II listed property, set in 35 acres of beautifully landscaped and wooded parkland close to Tring.  We pride ourselves on offering guests the very warmest welcome, beautiful surroundings and highest standards of service.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager to join our F&B Team.

In this key role, the successful candidate will be assisting and supporting the Restaurant and Bar Manager in the day to day operation and running of our many private dining and wedding functions.  The Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager will be involved in forward planning operations administration, recruitment, training and staff appraisals.

We are seeking a candidate with previous experience within a similar establishment and the following skills:

  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Highly organised, passionate and self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Micros EPOS system knowledge an advantage but not essential.

The Requirements for the Assistant Restaurant Manager :

  • Be well presented and have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to manage and teach the food & beverage team
  • Deliver the highest standards in customer service
  • Previous experience in Micros point of sale will be considered an advantage
  • You should have an outgoing personality and strong attention to detail
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK unrestricted

Additionally, the Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager will communicate with all other departments as well as performing Duty Management shifts of the whole hotel.

Due to the training and leadership aspect of this role, we are ideally seeking a candidate with experience in a similar level of role and property.  A customer focused, proactive, hands on individual is essential as the successful applicant will be very much leading from the front.
