HR Advisor - Based at King's Mill Hospital responsible for the Sherwood Hospital Trust - Fixed term contract until 30th June 2024.
27500 per annum / 40 hours per week
We're currently recruiting a dedicated HR Advisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.As a HR Advisor, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. To oversee all ER cases including attending meetings as required including being a note taker and to escalate to the HR Manager accordinglyProvide a service overview/findings on a monthly basis to the Medirest Compliance team Monitoring of all long term casesEnsure the Medirest & Trust Absence policy is adhered to including supporting the preparation of packs for Stage 2 Capability Hearing's in line with Trust policy for RoELiaising with the Medirest Payroll Operations team with dates of updated medical notes prior to cut off periodsArrange monthly meetings with service managers to determine HR activityTo work with the on site Training Coordinator and central Learning & Development team to provide a schedule of staff training courses available and disseminate accordinglyMonitor on a monthly basis staff retention, absence and sickness, developing procedures for managers to minimise thisManage the annual appraisal and probationary process, reviewing regularlyCommunicate with Trade Unions and Trust on a regular formal basis, take minutes and distribute accordinglyConfirm contractual changes and update ESRAttend Trust meetings as requiredAttend any Compass meetings as requestedAttend training courses as requestedAssist with Compass initiatives' directed by HR Business Partner / HR ManagerLiaise with managers and the central Payroll team to ensure that the Medirest & Trust Maternity, Paternity and Shared Parental Leave policies are adhered toSupporting managers and employees with flexible working requests in line with policyUndertaking DBS Risk Assessments for new starters in line with Company policy and working collaboratively with key stakeholders and teams to ensure risks to patients, colleagues and the business are minimisedEnsuring that all relevant ID documents are returned to facilitate the return of DBS'Ordering stationary items as and when requiredProcessing leavers on the system including the issuing of relevant letters and liaising with the Payroll team where requiredCompiling posters as and when required Perform any duties as requested appropriate to the needs of the businessTo ensure that current and potential employees are offered the same opportunity regardless of sex, race, colour, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status or disability.Our ideal HR Advisor will:
Knowledge and SkillsAt least 2 years HR experienceKnowledge of the service industry, working directly with staff.Must be a team player and able to motivate and communicate with the team.Education and QualificationsMust have gained GCSE/GCE/CSE in English and Maths.Must have gained or working towards CIPD. PC LiterateExperienceDealing with employees.Interviewing.Familiar with Health and Safety Regulations such as COSHH, Infection Control and Manual Handling.Desirable:
