Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £55,000.00 per year

Aramark UK is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Group Executive Chef to join the fantastic team at Kingston University. This is an exciting, permanent and full time opportunity reporting into our General Manager on site and will assume responsibility for leading the team and running an efficient food preparation and food delivery service across 3 kitchens, banqueting, events and conferencing. This is a brand new opportunity to grow your team and put your own stamp on things!

acThis is a permanent and full time role which can be based on site at either Penryhn Road KT1 2EE or Kingston Hill KT2 7LB.

A day in the life of a Group Executive Chef:

  • Take ownership and accountability of operational food management and financial performance of the food operation
  • Lead your team to success; regular reviews, training etc.
  • Provide sustained, innovative and continuous improvement to all menus across a diverse estate
  • Provide sustained, innovative and continuous improvement to the profitability of our offers
  • Plan effective schemes to build sales; measuring client satisfaction and increase customer satisfaction
  • Be accountable for the implementation of schemes including new products, procedures and menu specifications, ensuring they fit with the quality and subsidy requirements of the client
  • Develop good commercial relationships with suppliers, ensuring receipt of service and quality levels required to obtain the highest financial return
  • Ensure all daily paper / computer work is complete and that inventories and statistical reports are completed correctly and at the right time
  • Be accountable for the management and delivery of budget food subsidy, including GP & labour costs
  • Manage all casual labour including porters and ensure all food and labour costs are in line with budget and business needs
  • Be accountable for stock flow and rotation of product within the unit
  • Ensure a consistent high standard of hospitality for guests and our client alike

You'll be set up for success if you have:

  • Experience operating as an Executive Chef in a contract catering environment
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Flexible and punctual
  • Able to communicate at all levels across different stakeholder groups
  • Flexibility to be on site 5 days a week- you will need a driving licence to be able to get to the sites
