As a Marketing Planner as part of the Customer Planning team you'll contribute to the delivery of our customer plan and strategic ambitions.

The Customer Planning team's purpose is to align the customer, operational and commercial objectives of the business with a strong trade plan and differentiated propositions for our customers, to improve value perception and drive footfall

You'll support the team in executing the annual customer plan ensuring this helps deliver the business 'jobs to be done' and aligns to customer & commercial objectives.

A key part of the role will be supporting the activation of the plan, from planning through to execution, working with the marketing and commercial teams to bring it to life. You will be a self-starter in this regard with an inquisitive mindset that looks for opportunities and drives the delivery.

  • You will contribute to the execution of Propositions; including supporting in the campaign nomination process, liaising with key stakeholders, ensuring all information is accurate, shared on time and aligned to the brief
  • You will be responsible for delivering the customer activity plan priorities, working with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information. You will be the connection between the customer function and the rest of the business, providing the customer teams with the information they need to deliver our key customer messages
  • You will lead central meetings with all key stakeholders to ensure alignment across activity and consistent delivery through the line.
  • There will be a strong focus on relationship building, both inside your team and with the wider business ensuring you are proactive and can work collaboratively to achieve results.
  • You'll be required to work cross functionally with a variety of stakeholders across the Customer, Commercial & Retail functions to plan, manage and execute activity.

  • You are highly organised; detail focussed and have proven experience contributing to multiple projects in a retail environment
  • You enjoy working with cross-functional teams: you get things done through by working collaboratively and agilely  
  • You'll be a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with fast paced every changing environment or grocery retail
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, a high level of commercial acumen and the curiosity find new ways to solve challenges 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate confidently communicate simply and effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Organised & detail focussed. Experience working on multiple projects / campaigns at once 
  • Retail / Marketing experience preferred 
  • You will be able to review and understand secondary research, insight data, customer trends, and past performance autopsies
