Sous Chef - The British Home 15.50 per hour, 40 hours per weekWe're currently recruiting an ambitious Sous Chef to lead a small catering team and to help us create exceptional food experiences for The British Care Home on a full time basis contracted to 40 hours per week. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our residents days.

To always be polite, professional, and friendly with Residents and Care teamCultivate and actively promote a close working relationship with the Home Manager and care team to work together to ensure the highest level of Resident serviceTo present a can - do attitude towards Residents and strive to exceed customer expectationsManagement of Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures and standardsManagement of the Catering team to ensure all food production, service and financial targets are metManage the food production planning, food purchasing and stock managementManage the team through effective communication and performance managementRecruit, train and develop the team, supporting the company Career Progression and Apprenticeship programme where applicableManages the cleanliness of the kitchen and food service area Completes all bookwork and reporting as requiredPerforms other general tasks as reasonably requestedGood communication skillsWho you are:Essential

Excellent cooking skills to deliver a traditional menuPassionate about working in a food service environmentAble to work positively with others as part of a teamCompletion of all company courses relevant to roleGood business knowledge of a food service operationStrong communication skills, able to engage and motivate othersPrevious management experience within a kitchen environmentEnhanced DBS is a requirement for this roleDesirable
