We're looking for an experience finance professional to join our Finance team in Foodbuy, a leading food procurement organisation part of Compass Group UK&I. This is a key role within the Foodbuy Finance function, predominantly financial control based and responsible for the correct recognition and invoicing of all supplier rebates and associated balance sheets, working capital and Key Financial Controls in this area.

Reporting into the Head of Finance FP&A you will lead a team of team of 6 employees responsible to income recognition, invoicing and cost distribution. You will work closely with the Foodbuy Category teams and Compass Credit Control to support the monthly cash cycle.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Budget, forecast and report variances on all working capital areas, with a particular emphasis on driving working capital improvements
  • Own the consolidation of Foodbuy Balance Sheets with associated monthly control and reporting cycles, with an overall aim of understating and managing risk
  • Own the co-ordination and reporting of Foodbuy's relevant Key Financial Controls
  • Act as point of contact for audit queries
  • Ensure that Compass Group financial policies and procedures are always complied with
  • Continuously review processes, and identify changes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the wider Foodbuy team
  • The successful Finance Manager will be a Qualified Accountant with a year or more post qualified experience and will experienced working under pressure with large volumes and values.

  • Have an extremely high level of integrity and a risk control mindset
  • Ability to operate at a fast paced speed and highly commercially level
  • Able to effectively plan and organise multiple work streams within tight timescales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with multi-level stakeholders
  • Able to analyse and interpret large volumes of information and date from multiple sources
  • Consistent high level of attention to detail and accuracy, delivering outputs of the highest standard
  • Experience using SAP/Cognos/Amazon Quicksight is advantageous but not essential
