We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter starting in January to join our team here at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah. Situated in the heart of Knightsbridge, one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, and towering high over a world - class shopping destination, Sloane Street, The Carlton Tower Jumeirah is a beacon of sophistication where heritage meets contemporary luxury.

Carpenter overview:

The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, walls, partitions and other parts of the buildings, using hand and power tools according to written and oral instructions.

What you need for the Carpenter role:

  • Experience using woodworking power tools such as a planner, saws, and drills. Carpenter’s hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, files, squares and callipers, blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, ladders, scaffolds, and sawhorses.
  • Ideally experience in a similar position within a 5-star hotel environment
  • Having good level of Communication written & spoken in English
  • Have a strong eye for detail
  • Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Project management abilities
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles
  • Great problem solving skills
  • A good understanding on compliance practices
