About the Job
Deliver a comprehensive aquatics programme, inclusive of; timetables, school holiday activities, swim school programme, and swimming lessons, designed to meet the needs of the local communities. To work collaboratively with other departments across the business to ensure an innovate programme of activity that delivers on social outcomes while driving commercial sustainability. Responsible for day-to-day management of lifeguards, swimming teachers and carrying out the deputy manager role when on duty management shift.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support, drive and achieve centre targets and KPIsTrack, measure and report on the effectiveness of aquatic programmesGrow, develop and maintain a comprehensive wet side programme, maximizing Swim School and Learn2 occupancy and accounting for all customer demands and demographics, including any water wellbeing initiatives. Line management responsibilities for recruitment, induction, delivering training, appraisal, development, and performance management of staff, including one‑to‑onesMaintain a keen understanding of industry trends effecting aquatics, making appropriate recommendations for strategic and tactical development.Ensure all safe systems at work are adhered to and general building management including maintenance and repairs.
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for aquatics and the ability to influence and motivate staff. Previous experience working in wet operations is essential as well as experience working in the leisure, hospitality or service industries. Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of meeting financial targets and leading a successful team is also essential. Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check & reference checks
