As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day upkeep and smooth operation of our facilities at Brockwell Lido and Golden Lane Sports & Fitness. Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager, you'll handle routine and emergency maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure all equipment functions safely and meets the standards that our communities deserve. You'll be a crucial part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain equipment, including boilers, filtration plants, chemical dosing plants, and air conditioning systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults in heating and ventilation plants
  • Ensure our swimming pools meet rigorous hygiene standards
  • Execute planned maintenance schedules, including inspections, routine cleaning, and remedial work
  • Perform first fixes and repairs for efficient facility operation, covering carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and mechanical tasks
  • Maintain the highest possible standards of Health and Safety
  • Collaborate with management teams and Regional Facilities Manager on issue diagnosis and quote preparation
  • Liaise with contractors attending facilities, providing supervision as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, including meter readings and inspections, using facilities management software

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong understanding of engineering and/or electrical-mechanical equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot failures (essential)
  • Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance and decisive problem-solving skills (essential)
  • Familiarity with water hygiene risks and L8 legislation (desirable)
  • Effective organisation, planning, and workload prioritisation skills (essential)
  • Supervisory experience with contractors, including permit-to-work processes (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar software (essential)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow processes (essential)
