we've got a truly brilliant opportunity for a property project manager to join our property team here at wagamama. with 165 restaurants across the uk + ambitious growth plans underway it's an incredibly exciting time to be joining! in the role you'll manage a portfolio of new openings, transformational + smaller refurbishments across the entire wagamama estate.

you will own + lead projects end-end managing capex + working closely with our construction, acquisitions, estates, maintenance, risk + compliance + operations teams to ensure projects are delivered seamlessly + aligned with all teams.

we're looking for someone who is happy to work from noodle hq in london bridge 1-2 days per week with the rest of the time based in the field and are open to discussing part time arrangements.

key responsibilities I

  • ensure a well-defined strategic plan for new restaurant openings and refurbishments are implemented + managed to support wagamamas growth
  • manage the day-to-day aspects of projects from initiation to completion
  • oversee creation of project development budgets for restaurants construction
  • identify, assemble and manage cross-functional project resources, including external suppliers and consultants to achieve project objectives
  • monitor and track project progress and deliverables using appropriate tools
  • communicate progress, deliverables and outcomes to key stakeholders and wagamama teams, leading bi-weekly meetings
  • plan + manage new build processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with wagamama business goals and objectives
  • participate in the development of wagamama design objectives to meet company objective of appearance, quality, quantity and costs

the experience + personal attributes we're looking for |

  • demonstrable project management experience within property + construction, ideally with some experience within the hospitality industry
  • strong knowledge of new restaurant project management, including estimates, contract negotiations, capex + budgets
  • knowledge of design and construction processes including architectural drawings
  • knowledge of construction costs + budgeting
  • strong influencing + negotiation skills
  • excellent communication skills; confident presenting
  • able to build strong relationships with internal + external stakeholders
  • excellent problem-solving skills
