Planner - Chertsey, Surrey

Job Type: Full Time - Seasonal (Fixed End Date)

Roles & Responsibilities

We are THORPE PARK and we are part of the magical Merlin Entertainments!

We are currently recruiting for a Seasonal Planner within our Central Planning Team. This role will assist the Central Planning Manager to formulate operational resourcing plans for the Resort, in-line with demand-based scheduling, whilst exceeding both Revenue Per Customer (RPC) and Guest Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.

As a Planner, your key objective will be to ensure the Resort receives rotas in-line with budget and unit requirements.

Working with the other Planners and the Central Planning Manager you will produce Operational rosters, across all operational departments, to ensure the daily operation is seamless in delivery. You’ll need to have an analytical mind, in order to overcome any resourcing issues, ensuring that the delivery of service is not jeopardised. You will also continually look for ways to improve the efficiency of resourcing across the resort by working on the Multiskilling project.

Qualifications & Experience

What we’re looking for:

  • An analytical mind set.
  • A positive attitude.
  • An outgoing personality to interact with teams across the Resort.
  • A drive to find and make improvements.
  • Proficiencies in Excel preferred.

This role is full-time, which will include weekends and bank holidays as required; a flexibility and willingness to work outside of core hours when required is essential.

We want to be the number one place to work!

Alongside a competitive pay, you can look forward to enjoying a great benefits package including a Merlin Magic pass, giving you free tickets to any of our attractions globally; Employee Assistance Programme; 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants; 40% discount online off of LEGO, and much more!

At Merlin we welcome the world to our magical attractions and resorts every day and we want to reflect that same multicultural mix inside our business too. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse workplace where people can be themselves, have the same opportunities and thrive together. Because at Merlin, everyone matters!

Together, we work to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, no matter their age, race, gender, disability or sexual orientation. Although we understand that we'll always be learning and growing, we aim to be the most inclusive and flexible employer in our industry.
