About the role

The role of the Health & Wellbeing Consultant is to deliver and exceed new business sales and income targets whilst managing and growing existing portfolio of organisations 51-199 employees.

About the role

  • Within a designated geography, achieve and exceed targeted new health insurance and non-insurance health & wellbeing sales revenue from data supplied, referrals, own leads, and business enquiries. As directed, manage accordingly, any expansion/reactive territory.
  • To manage existing and inherited portfolio of clients ensuring targeted retention of revenue, manage renewals, sustainability, and profitability of portfolio.
  • To maximise value of existing portfolio through organic growth, cross sales, and upgrades. Building out and maintaining fully up to date account plans.
  • Provide referrals to appropriate desk-based sales colleagues for opportunities 199 employees. Work in partnership with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Propositions and Underwriting and utilise all available tools, insights and support available, to deliver and exceed targets. Where appropriate, provide regular feedback to ensure that these insights can be used to make improvements.
  • Meet or exceed all activity and key performance targets. Ensure that agreed reporting and updating of systems, including but not restricted to SCMS, Pardot and a tbc CRM system, are completed in an accurate and timely manner to ensure that key business intelligence reports can be produced.

Working Effectively:

  • Attendance at team meetings with positive contribution
  • Sharing of all best practices and ideas
  • Responsible for complete minimum training requirements under Insurance Distribution Directive
  • Fully prepare in advance for all 1-1 meetings including up to date performance, actions and support required to maximise performance and address shortfalls
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested.

About you:

Education and Qualifications

  • Maths and English GSCE at grade C or above or equivalent
  • Degree or similar level of education
  • Financial services qualification such as CII


  • Experienced working towards and exceeding targets
  • Articulate with strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proven ability to work independently to generate own opportunities and deliver end to end follow up on all opportunities presented
  • Experienced dealing with senior commercial stakeholders such as business owners and company Directors.
  • Experienced in building strong trusted relationships with diverse clients and colleagues
  • Proven accountability for personal performance and own development
  • Experience working in financial services and or health and wellbeing
  • Experienced presenting solutions to Groups of people
  • Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management systems


  • Energetic, highly self-motivated with an enquiring approach, passion for excellence, continued improvement and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
  • IT skills - working with office packages, remote platforms (MS Teams/Zoom, Webinars etc.) and business social media.
