Key Responsibilities:

Powering Sustainability

  • Monitor and report on energy usage, driving initiatives to reduce consumption.
  • Implement new energy-saving measures and analyse their effectiveness.

Environmental Stewardship

  • Lead the charge in sustainability, collaborating with the Asset Management and Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, overseeing external certification audits.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Manage utility procurement, bill validation, and produce annual budgets for site utility costs.
  • Collate and analyse data for recharging utility costs to tenants and clients.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide advice and guidance to operational teams on managing and reducing energy use.
  • Liaise with facility management teams on sustainability, energy efficiency, and water conservation in new projects.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement business cases for measures reducing energy and carbon impacts.
  • Drive sustainability improvements across the business, supporting clients in achieving carbon reduction goals.

Experience & Skills:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in a relevant field (desirable).
  • IEMA membership, Member of IOSH (desirable).
  • Considerable understanding of Sustainability/ESG/GHG/Net Zero (essential).
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO14001 (essential).
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and AMR platforms (essential).
  • Flexible and effective communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport (essential).
  • Ability to interpret Environmental and Health & Safety legislation and produce written reports (essential).

  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, setting an example as a role model within the charity.
  • Display a goal-focused mindset, contributing to the development of the corporate sustainability strategy.
