More about your role

As the Assistant Health and Fitness Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Health and Fitness Manager to operate fitness operations. Places Leisure Camberley a flagship site, has a club of 5,400 members and another 1,300 junior fitness members and turns over £6.2 Million. This iconic centre has a gym with 170 stations with state-of-the-art technology.  Facilities also include 4 studios, including group cycling and hot yoga with over 120 instructor led classes held weekly; sports hall, a 25m pool and a 20m training pool; a Costa coffee store, clip n' climb area and soft play.

High quality interactions with members are essential to maintain excellent customer care and you will need to ensure you help lead the team to drive forward the service required. Your flexibility will be essential to be successful in this role. During the Fitness Manager's absence you will be responsible for supervising the gym-based team and overseeing Personal Trainers, and support the Group Exercise Coordinator where needed. You will also be involved in outreach events to support the companies healthy community's delivery.  A Personal Training rental agreement may also be available for the right candidate.

More about you

You will have developed a career within the fitness sector (or further education/military). Ideally you will be a Fitness Manager or Assistant at a small site, or already have experience of managing individuals or a team within fitness and you can demonstrate you will be a superstar who has consistently shown a track record of achieving results and a desire to progress. An NVQ level 3 in fitness (or equivalent) is essential.
