Demi Chef de Partie - The Wigmore - Central London
The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Demi Chef de Partie to join our talented team at The Wigmore Kitchen. In this role, you will collaborate with the Head Chef to execute and improve on delicious selection of honest pub dishes, focussed on quality ingredients and simple yet delicious cookery.
In the role of Demi Chef de Partie, your key focus will be to:
- work well in a small brigade and be passionate about learning
- ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times
- ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Hotel
- follow closely the recipe specifications to ensure consistency of the food
- ensure all mise-en-place is set up accordingly
Do you have?
- previous similar experience in a 5* hotel or reputable gastropub
- ability to work independently and unsupervised
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- excellent attention to detail
- food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
