Insight Analyst - eCommerce

Are you an analyst with a talent for gathering information and spotting opportunities for improvements? Do you enjoy working with others to develop and test ideas?

The Asda Grocery eCommerce Data & Optimisation Team, work across the horizontal, we are responsible for developing and continually improving systems and experiences that underpin the Asda Grocery eCommerce business. The Insight Analyst will be a key part of the team, researching improvement opportunities and gathering the information needed to design web optimisation experiments which will enable stakeholders to make informed decisions to solve customer problems and improve the website.

About the role

Reporting into the Optimisation Manager, you will be responsible for researching improvement opportunities, gathering insight and designing experiments needed to drive the optimisation of the Asda Groceries Website.

You will...

  1. Research opportunities for website optimisation using quantitative and qualitative methods and tools (including OpinionLab, Decibel, Adobe Analytics), working in conjunction with teams across eCommerce such as UX, Merchandising and Data Science.
  2. Work closely with front-end developers and stakeholders to understand, challenge and develop test ideation.
  3. Design web optimisation experiments and build clear hypotheses in collaboration with stakeholders.
  4. Assist in communicating tests and trial outcomes.
  5. Assist in communicating continuous opportunities to enhance business performance through innovative use of analytical techniques and storytelling.
  6. Provide support to the wider eCommerce team in delivering honest growth through positive change.

What you'll need

  • Professional experience gathering data and intelligence, developing actions and presenting this to colleagues or stakeholders in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Aptitude to add value to experimentation ideas and help to formulate conclusions to present opportunities effectively.
  • Passion to solve complex problems with a keen eye to spot opportunities for innovative research and analysis.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with ability to make decisions and adapt plans accordingly.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, statistics and web analytics is advantageous.
