Job Type: Casual / Zero Hours Contract (no set shift pattern but evenings and weekend flexibility is essential) 

Salary: £10.90 per hour

Built in 1966 the Redgrave Theatre is a 319-seat receiving house in the heart of Clifton. The theatre was officially opened by the actor Sir Michael Redgrave, an ex-student of Clifton College. As well as continuing to host some of the same groups that first visited the theatre back in the 1970’s, the theatre plays host to a variety of shows from professional touring companies including comedians, pantomimes, children’s shows, book signings/talks, dance and film productions

The Redgrave Theatre are seeking enthusiastic, positive and efficient Front of House & Box Office Assistants to join the team from August 2023, on a part-time or casual basis. Our casual contracts are hourly paid, and are paid at a rate of £10.90 per hour.

Reporting to both the Front of House and Box Office Managers, you will provide front of house support for both internal and external events at the Redgrave Theatre.

The duties of this varied and exciting role will involve (but will not be limited to):

  • Greeting guests and informing them with relevant information
  • Serving drinks and snacks at the bar during the pre-show and interval – Selling show merchandise
  • Working with the Front of House and Box Office Managers in areas that need additional support
  • Handling card and cash payments including end of day banking
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Opening and closing the theatre
  • Assisting the Box Office Manager in providing a friendly, efficient customer service
