We are currently seeking a passionate Executive Pastry Chef to join the team here at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah.

About the role

As the Executive Pastry Chef you will be responsible in the successful daily operation of the Pastry Kitchen. You will be passionate and enthusiastic about creating exquisite dishes to the highest standards and inspiring those around you. Our Executive Pastry Chef will lead on developing their team of Chefs to achieve Luxury 5* Standards to ensure maximum satisfaction to our guests. Working along side our Executive Head Chef you will develop menus and demonstrate your creative flair though innovation of the pastry and bakery offering here at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah.

Duties Include:

• To work with the Director of Food &Beverage in establishing appropriate menus and promotional activity throughout the operation.
• To assist the Director of Food and Beverage in identifying market needs and trends in terms of food for both hotels guests and the local market.
• To ensure that only the freshest and highest quality products on the market are purchased for the outlets.
• To achieve the budgeted food cost of sales whilst maintaining the consistency of food products to meet the needs of the hotel’s outlets.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• Ideally experience in a similar position within a luxury 5 star environment is desirable
• Excellent level of English
• Excellent communicator and able to connect with all levels in the business with the ability to motivate your colleagues.
• Effective organisational skills; able to prioritise tasks and self-manage a workload
• Excellent personal presentation with a warm and welcoming personality.
• Friendly, approachable and professional
• Have a strong eye for detail
