Training Officer - Hook, Hampshire

The Training Officer will be delivering a wide range of training with a focus of ‘on the job’ training within departments across the hotel.The Training Officer will work closely with Heads of Department and will design, deliver and support a range of training and development activities to develop consistent standards that reflect the company’s ethos of delivering distinctive and high quality guest experiences.

As a Training Officer you will have experience of delivering a wide variety of activities from induction, statutory and compliance training to customer service - ideally within a hospitality setting. As a natural role model you will set the tone for a thriving learning environment including supporting the hotel’s apprenticeship activities and mentor guest-facing apprentices in the completion of their apprenticeship programme

This role will also offer exposure to a wider HR function, supporting the HR Manager in their absence with:

  • Answering of day-to day HR queries
  • Supporting with settling new staff into employee accommodation 
  • Liase with schools/colleges in regards to apprenticehips and work experience
  • Support the onboarding process of new starters
  • Representing the HR department to a high standard 

This is the perfect role for an experienced trainer to make it their own and develop their HR capabilities.

Training Officer Attributes / Experience:

  • Be able to demonstrate previous experience in training and coaching in a hospitality environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly organised, passionate and self-motivated
  • Be enthusiastic, customer-focused and be able to work within deadlines
  • Be a flexible individual
  • Working with Senior Managers to integrate the Training Culture into the business

24-32 hours per week, flexible days. £28,000 per annum, pro rata.
