Job Type: Permanent Role
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 out of 7 days)

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for Sous Chef with an exceptional flair for cooking, superb organizational skills, and an unwavering attention to detail.

  • Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks
  • Cooking and preparing good quality dishes
  • Assisting the Head Chef to create menu, recipes and develop dishes
  • Supervising all kitchen sections
  • Supervising, motivating, and working closely with other chefs of all levels
  • Being responsible for health and safety
  • Being responsible for food hygiene practices
  • Ensuring food quality product and standards are maintained for all dishes created
  • Assisting with stock taking stock taking and ordering, staff planning
  • Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulation including sanitary and food safety guidelines
  • Deputize for head Chef on his absence

Must Haves/qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Food and Preparation diploma or equivalent.
  • Food Safety Level 2.
  • Confirmed knowledge of COSHH.
  • Experience minimum 1 full year  working experience  within restaurant / hotel
  • Must be able to delegate tasks to junior team members

Nice to Haves:

  • Able to cook with fresh and seasonal product .
  • Previous experience in restaurant  in managing members of a team
