What you'll be doing:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Chef with a background in catering for professional sports teams to join our team at Wolverhampton Wanderers Football club.

You will develop, lead and manage a motivated, trained team with the appropriate skills to deliver exceptional service to our clients and guests. Working closely with the wider culinary team to deliver best in class culinary experiences to all our guests throughout the venue. All whilst maintaining a key focus on HSE, food safety, our people and our budget.

More about the role:
  • Work in collaboration with all departments within the catering team to deliver excellent food
  • Overseeing the preparation, cooking and service arrangements, taking responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the stadium kitchens day to day
  • Supervise the preparation and cooking of all food produced on site ensuring standards are maintained
  • Schedule and coordinate work to ensure that food preparation is delivered in a timely fashion and to the highest standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality
  • Assist in the planning of menus as required ensuring menus meet highest possible standards and remain in line with budgeted costs
  • Work with venue culinary team to ensure that Levy UK culinary core signature is always followed

Who you are:
  • High level of culinary skills
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, to work in line with our business
  • A love of sport
  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent with a drive to continue learning
  • Experience working in a high volume/high quality environment of a similar nature
  • Intermediate food hygiene certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • Highly flexible attitude to role
  • IT literate
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
  • A "can do" attitude
