We have an exception role for you, in the position of GP Relationship Manager

As our GP Relationship Manager, you will have the opportunity to build our network of GP referrers within the Birmingham / West Midlands area. Alongside collaborating, identifying and further developing relationship with our corporate insurers. This a real opportunity for a strong healthcare or healthcare insurer business development professional to join at the inception of this exciting new HCA facility.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Prospect and Deliver New Referrers and Insurers.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the mix of GP Principles (Owners), Sessional GP's and Locum GP's within your territory.
  • Target and secure new referrer relationships for existing/new facilities, service lines, treatments.
  • Support local marketing plans as HCA UK rolls out new facilities or service lines, covering but not limited to, engaging with Schools, Business Parks, Employers etc.
  • Visiting referrers by undertaking further value-added fact-finding visits in the area.
  • Establish strong and productive multi-level relationships - Referrers, Clinicians, Corporate Insurers, Practice Managers, Secretaries and other key influencers.
  • Keep abreast of Service Line developments across HCA and communicate these developments to referrers as appropriate.
  • Review referral activity and trends with Principles (Practice Owners), Practice Managers and/or key stakeholders, acting to address any shortfalls and opportunities.

Typically, this role is very familiar to GP or Consultant liaison teams in the independent private healthcare sector, used to engaging GPs, host events, meet face to face, and present specialist services.

Based in Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital is a brand new 100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus. The hospital will have deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities, and expert experienced teams, delivering full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity, including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.

The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within our network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has;

  • Demonstrable business development experience within Healthcare / Private Medical Insurance.
  • Used to working with KPI field sales targets within healthcare.
  • It desirable that you are currently working within and familiar within the Birmingham area.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence.

We will also consider candidates who have sold pharmaceuticals and medical devices field sales experience too.
