Assistant Management Accountant - Talacre

We are looking for a Assistant Management Accountant to join our team at Darwin Escapes Head Office in Flintshire, North Wales. Great competitive salary!

This is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be standard office hours Monday to Friday.

About The Role

Main responsibilities:

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will

• Prepare and post monthly journals including holiday bookings revenue, payroll and deferred income.
• Maintain the fixed asset registers including the posting of depreciation journals and reconciliation to the trial balance.
• Prepare monthly Park Prepayments schedules and process monthly journals.
• Maintain the Park Accruals schedules on a monthly basis.
• Review nominal postings prior to month end to ensure that transactions are correctly coded and process recode journals.
• Prepare the monthly recharge schedules between the Group companies.
• Reconcile the monthly Bar/Restaurant stock reports.
• Ensure and take the lead that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled at all times.
• Review monthly Park management accounts against budget and post any necessary accruals and journal adjustments.
• Bring new reporting ideas to the forefront of the business to aid senior management decision making.

Requirements:

Previous experience within a similar role along with a part qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) is preferred. Experience with Microsoft NAV is advantageous. Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables & lookups). A driving licence and the ability to drive is advantageous to get to and from the site. Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic are essential.

Required Criteria

• Right to Live and work in the UK
• Previous experience within a similar role along with a full/part qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience
• A flexible approach to problem solving, with the ability to produce clear and accurate work to timely deadlines
• A strong and determined approach, able to work alone without direction and also within a team environment

Desired Criteria

• A driving licence and the ability to drive is an advantage to enable easy travel to and from the resort
