We are currently looking for a Ground Operations Team Leader

Location: Chessington World of Adventures, Surrey KT9 2NE

Hours: Full time & part time, fully flexible. Fixed term contract from March 2023 to November.  Working weekends and bank holidays as required.

About the Role

The Ground Operations (Car Parks and Park Cleaning) team are looking for a Ground Operations Team Leader to manage the daily operation and ensure that our Adventurers enjoy an amazing day out. So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to lead a team and ensure that the park is presentable and kept to the highest standards at all times then apply today! Managing a small daily team to endure guest washroom, pathways, benches, tables and bins are kept clean and empty at all times.

As well as always driving high operational and cleanliness standards in both areas it will also be your responsibility to inspire and motivate the team during daily briefings and making sure that they deliver outstanding levels of guest service and interaction. Finally, you need to be able to make on the spot decisions when needed to ensure all guests have a seamless entry to the resort. As well as managing the department on a day-to-day basis, acting as an exemplary role model and demonstrating a professional and consistent management style that reflects the needs of both the team and the business.

You will actively ensure that high standards of Adventurer care are delivered by all as well as performance manage the immediate team, including training & 121 reviews. You will enforce Health & Safety policies & procedures at all times, ensuring it remains our No1 priority and carry out any ad hoc projects with the Manager and keeping both park and back of house areas clean including all washrooms.

About You

You will have a passion for providing excellent Adventurer service as well as being a great teammate. You will have bags of enthusiasm & energy with strong communication skills and a positive and friendly nature.

You will be proactive and hardworking to succeed in this hands-on role as well as have the ability to take on responsibility and work on own initiative. A full driver’s license is desirable but not a must, and as a reminder you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business and reliability is key.
