What it's like to work here

The long history of Dinefwr is many-layered and has been instrumental in both shaping and reflecting the development of Wales as a nation. Occupied for at least 2,000 years, the deep layers of cultural activity that are the foundations of contemporary Wales are embedded here. Play is such an important feature of Dinefwr, that appeals to one of our largest audiences, we hope to create a rigorous programme of family activites, events and play structures to ensure repeatability and relevance of visits to Dinefwr are continued for years to come. You will need to be confident about bringing inspiring ideas in order to create and co-ordinate activities at a property to provide visitors with high quality fun experiences that will help them enjoy all aspects of the property (indoors and out).

Mae hanes hir Dinefwr yn aml-haenog ac wedi bod yn allweddol wrth lunio ac adlewyrchu datblygiad Cymru fel cenedl. Wedi’i meddiannu am o leiaf 2,000 o flynyddoedd, mae’r haenau dwfn o weithgarwch diwylliannol sy’n sylfaen i’r Gymru gyfoes wedi’u gwreiddio yma. Gan fod chwarae yn nodwedd mor bwysig yn Ninefwr, ac yn apelio at un o’n cynulleidfaoedd mwyaf, rydym yn gobeithio creu rhaglen drylwyr o weithgareddau teuluol, digwyddiadau a strwythurau chwarae i sicrhau ymweliadau mynych â Dinefwr a’u bod yn berthnasol am flynyddoedd i ddod. Bydd angen i chi fod yn hyderus o ran cyflwyno syniadau ysbrydoledig er mwyn creu a chydlynu gweithgareddau mewn safle i ddarparu profiadau hwyliog o ansawdd uchel i ymwelwyr a fydd yn eu helpu i fwynhau pob agwedd ar y safle (dan do ac yn yr awyr agored).

What you'll be doing

Your visitor engagement remit will focus on the delivery of and coordination of play and engagement opportunities at Dinefwr. You will be responsible for making outstanding experiences especially for children and young people happen. You will link with the wider team of Visitor Experience, Rangers, Gardens and Programming staff to ensure what you do is relevant to property plans. You will work effectively alongside local networks; including school groups, community groups, local stakeholders and volunteers in order to provide high quality service in line with the aims and aspirations of Dinefwr. Its also about making the link to our conservation purpose and engaging with our audience is a way that connects them to nature and landscape. Its about regular participation – you will create a schedule of regular engagement opportunities that will interest visitors to property. You will create opportunities to connect ideas through a range of programmed activities that are relevant to the property programme. You will support the recruitment, training, and management of new and existing volunteers to help deliver these activities at property.

Bydd eich cylch gwaith ymgysylltu ag ymwelwyr yn canolbwyntio ar ddarparu a chydlynu cyfleoedd chwarae ac ymgysylltu yn Ninefwr. Byddwch yn gyfrifol am sicrhau profiadau rhagorol yn enwedig i blant a phobl ifanc. Byddwch yn cysylltu â’r tîm ehangach sef Profiad Ymwelwyr, Ceidwaid, Gerddi a staff Rhaglennu i sicrhau bod yr hyn a wnewch yn berthnasol i gynlluniau’r safle. Byddwch yn gweithio’n effeithiol ochr yn ochr â rhwydweithiau lleol; gan gynnwys grwpiau ysgol, grwpiau cymunedol, rhanddeiliaid lleol a gwirfoddolwyr er mwyn darparu gwasanaeth o safon uchel yn unol â nodau a dyheadau Dinefwr. Mae hefyd yn cysylltu â’n pwrpas cadwraeth ac yn denu diddordeb ein cynulleidfa mewn ffordd sy’n eu cysylltu â natur a thirwedd. Mae’n ymwneud â chyfranogiad rheolaidd - byddwch yn creu amserlen o gyfleoedd ymgysylltu rheolaidd a fydd o ddiddordeb i ymwelwyr â’r safle. Byddwch yn creu cyfleoedd i gysylltu syniadau trwy amrywiaeth o weithgareddau wedi’u cynllunio sy’n berthnasol i raglen y safle.
