This means we are going through one of the biggest retail transformation programmes that the world has ever seen! 'Future' is the name for the programme that will see Asda create their newoperating model, independent from Walmart. Technology will undoubtedly be one of the most ambitious parts of this work. 

 

Your Role 

As a Lead Engineer in the eCommerce team, you will define and deliver architectural solutions, help structure technology and engineering teams, and deliver technical support to eCommerce programmes and projects. This role will be key in driving the adoption of modern architecture and trends such as Microservices, DevOps and Cloud Native technology platforms. 

 

    Track the technical implications of changes made throughout the development life cycle  Write technical documentation and stories to support the functional stories in the product backlog  Define and manage delivery plans of products  Maintain focus on backlog priorities including tech debt, vulnerabilities, bugs, and features  Work closely with delivery squads to maintain developer productivity  Ensure resource efficiencies and delivery of quality tested code  Support escalations related to the live service and help resolve critical issues  Partner daily with product, business, UX and engineering squad players, to ensure timely resolution to any delivery challenges  Ensure smooth service transition with Service Architect and Data Architect co-ordination, to promote scalable and serviceable feature solutions  Work alongside third-party suppliers  Monitor service performance 

 

About You 

    Salesforce Commerce Cloud  Salesforce Service Cloud  Salesforce Marketing Cloud  Microsoft ADB2C  Progressive Web Applications (PWA)  Algolia Search, Amplience CMS and Dynamic Yield Personalisation  DevOps/Automation (CI/CD) for large scale delivery  Microsoft Azure  Relational and NoSQL Databases  Knowledge of Headless approaches, API gateways and Microservices  Experience delivering projects with distributed teams
