As we separate from Walmart, we're building a completely new, world-class retail technology landscape: eCommerce platforms, retail stores point-of-sale and inventory systems, supply chain, distribution and warehouse management systems, new buying and merchandising, financial and state of the art people systems as well as the latest in data and workplace technologies.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Lead to join us on a permanent basis to work within our SAP function.

About you:

• Management of the full SAP technical landscape from Sandbox to Production, ensures that non-functional requirements are met, solutions are technically supportable, can be delivered efficiently, and that all changes are controlled.
• Manages the relationship with SAP RISE to ensure the service provided is as per requirements and expectations.
• Provide a technically well design, stable up to date, controlled, and error free technical landscape for Business Users (Production), Support teams (Production support landscape - Dev and QA) and any other delivery specific environments.

The role:

• Accountable for all aspects of capability management and line management of the functions within - budget, process, people, vendor management.
• Defines and agrees KPIs for functions within Capability (Technical Architecture, Environment Management, Release Management, PCE Engagement and Basis, Hosting and Technical Operations) to meet CoE needs, and align to Non-Functional Requirements and overall CoE Mission.
• Targets team with process and operational improvement - engendering sense of ownership and enabling change and improvement
• Working with Peers in wider IT to standardize processes where appropriate and understand organizational and strategic direction and impact on CoE (including Operations etc).
• Escalation point for complex technical decisions affecting Production, working with Technical Architect and Basis Leads on escalations to vendors (e.g. SAP)
• Accountable for design and implementation of appropriate technical monitoring.
• Regularly cascades information from Business, IT, and CoE leadership to team leads and wider team
• Confirms scope of service for team
• Reviews and approves core deliverables for function (for example Environment Strategy, Operational Runbooks)
• Chairs the Technical CMB, works with team to plan technical releases and patching, ensuring the appropriate management of technical change within the wider change roadmap of the CoE and wider IT landscape.
• Controls the resourcing and other budget / spend for SAP infrastructure and technical operations support.
