We are looking for a Health & Wellbeing Coordinator to enable our key community leisure and community programming priorities and objectives at Leisure World Colchester. If you are an experienced health coordinator or facilitator with a successful track record in community wellbeing initiatives, with a recognisable relevant vocational and management experience who's confident, sensitive and able to inspire and motivate both staff and a wide range of people then this is for you.

The role

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of our in-house LEAP (Life Enhancing Activity Programme) Referral Scheme, acting as a main point of contact between both medical and allied health professionals. You will need to ensure that all programming is up to date and in line with current local and national guidelines meeting the need of the local community.

As coordinator you shall lead the operational delivery and development of programme content providing specialist exercise to people with underlying health conditions, or at risk of developing medical conditions, to become more physically active.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and development of a central referral directory and feeding information about the programme back to key stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the key performance indicators are met, evaluated and communicated ensuring the scheme’s long-term and community wellbeing objectives are achieved.

Qualification

The successful candidate will have a minimum of CIMSPA (REPS) Level 3 Exercise Referral and/or Level 4 Exercise Referral qualification. Ideally, the successful candidate to have a current Level IV BACPR Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cancer Rehab qualification or would be willing to undertake this qualification and be experience of delivering lifestyle and weight management intervention maintaining a

flexible, professional approach to their work ensuring that the highest standards are maintained.
