The Flour Pot Bakery is a family owned independent artisan bakery in Brighton & Hove, specialising in long fermented sourdough, yeasted breads and viennoiserie. We serve our own Flour Pot shops in the city and a growing wholesale customer base that appreciate the best quality hand-crafted products.

We require an experienced baker to join our skilled team and all applicants must be proficient in mixing, shaping and oven work. We make everything from scratch so it’s imperative the right candidate is committed to clean and consistent methodology and can work to deadlines for distribution.

Our usual start times are between 5am and 11am, dependent on the shift, and the role is for 5 shifts a week with 28 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays).

Recently we have shifted over our production from a night bake to an afternoon and evening bake with the aim to give our baking team a better work / life balance. With recent large investment in new provers and a steam tube wood powered ovens, as well as paid overtime for all salaried staff, we feel we offer a welcoming and attractive working environment and package

Salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year though for highly skilled experienced bakers this is certainly negotiable
