Summary

Do you love variety? The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times, so you can guarantee that no day is the same.
This new role is, we believe, something rather special. You'll be supporting the work of our Ranger team who work across our countryside portfolio; This includes Fyne Court and the Quantocks, the Holnicote Estate and the Mendip Hills. As well as supporting their day to day operations, you’ll have the chance to get involved in a variety of nature conservation projects and play a key part in our climate action work. You’ll champion best practice when it comes to business support, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something.

What it's like to work here

You'll work very closely with our ranger team, providing them with administrative and organisational support, enabling them to carry out their important conservation work. You’ll also thrive when working independently and enjoy taking the initiative when problem solving. Your working week will stretch over 3 days; Monday- Wednesday. Ideally your working base would be Fyne Court, however we do have offices in Holnicote and Barton if either of these are more convenient for you. Many of our meetings are held online however on occasion you'll be ask to travel between the offices. You may also choose to spend some of your time working from home.

What you'll be doing

Known for your outstanding organisational skills and your love of delivering first class support, you’ll provide a comprehensive administration service to the ranger team. You'll be confident using a variety of IT packages including excel to create reports, keep accurate records, and write timely and accurate internal/external communications. You’ll run a tight ship and will become the go to person for your team.
