Fixed Term Contract, Start date: Immediate until 01/11/23

40 hours

£Competitive

Live-in accommodation available (Note: a small weekly utility levy applies.)

We are recruiting a Chef for 2023 Season. You will prepare and cook breakfasts as well as evening meals for groups and individuals according to a set menu.

About the role:

Reporting to Cairngorm Lodge Hostel Manager, you will be part of our dedicated and friendly team within our Cairngorm Group, ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen

You will be responsible and deliver the highest standard of food quality and presentation whilst achieving budgetary requirements, maintain the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with our HACCP house rules, and cleaning schedules.

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience of catering for large groups, pastry chef experience, working in busy contract catering environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP and COSHH regulations and a relevant catering qualification including Elementary Food  Hygiene certificate, SVQ/NVQ in catering, food production.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as unsupervised during busy times
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure whilst remaining calm
  • Excellent time management skill.
  • Desire to learn and a passion for cooking

You will be part of a relatively small close knit team, which means successful candidates live and work closely with colleagues.
